Why Mummy-Wannabe?

The title of my blog may strike some as odd. Yes, why did I say "Mummy-Wannabe"?
Well that's what I want to be, or at least I'm trying to be.

Life is tough esp for a woman. When we are single, people ask why we don't have a boyfriend. once we have a boyfriend, next they ask when we are getting married. Once we're married, the next question is when we are going to have a baby! It never ends....

It seems to me that most people feel that a married woman is only defined well once we have a baby. Why is it a woman can't be happy just being married?

Anyway, my hubby and I have been trying for a baby for the past year and half. Well it's not been successful, hence I said "trying"! And all around us people keep asking "when are you going to have a baby? When's it your turn?" etc etc... That doesn't help our cause at all.

A friend once told me "Sex is just an act. The rest is up to God." And I have to agree. Well we can't control what happens inside us now, can we?

So now I've found the "perfect" answer for when people ask me "When are you going to have a baby?". I tell them, "When God lets!"

And this leaves them speechless!!
